Twitter - so who's on it? What do you use it for vs. your LJ?

ETA:You all weren't fast enough. Knowing almost nothing of what I'm doing, I am now on Twitter. OMG, why is this so addicting? What is it about a one or two sentence update that is so fascinating? I have this urge to post everything it telegram format: "Working - stop - send coffee - stop - trying to write this g-damned synopsis -stop"

It's all very strange.

You've found me on Twitter! ...And I haven't updated in a year. *facepalm* I kind of forgot that I had the account.

I know exactly what you mean about the fascination, though! For me, I use it for things I'm doing right then that I don't necessarily think is worth spamming everyone on LJ over (and from the look of my previous entries, it has a lot to do with what I'm reading at the moment, interest quotes and the like). I really liked that about Twitter: that I could just at random quote from something I was reading cause a lot of what I read is interesting, at least to me. :)

The limit for me reduces the guilt in frequent posting about random stuff no one really cares about. :D

Well, I cheated. I had it search my e-mail contacts. :D

To my shock, someone I know IRL and talk to on a pretty much weekly basis also Twitters, and I had no idea. :)

Oh, I'm very weird about finding people I know in real-life in Online forums of any kind. It somehow feels like they're suddenly encroaching on my personal life or something. Weird, I know, but it has a lot to do with whether I want to give permission/access since I talk about so many personal things. I like anonymity, I guess.

You found me already! I Twitter on and off (currently off, but now that's it's been brought back to my attention...). I usually use it for one sentence type updates I don't want to spam my f-list about. I feel insecure about doing that, but Twitter is MADE for that... so spam away ;)

I've been thinking about joining... and then you joined, and then there was a big thread on etsy about how it's a super great marketing tool... and I joined. Sweetjewelry (stephdub was taken - THE NERVE!).
