I can haz dragon eggs!
For the first time EVER, I went to the Dragon Cave, and there were eggs! But the second it took me to log in, all three were taken. :( But then two had been abandoned, so I snagged one, went back, and the other was gone!

In any case, I have a dragon egg. To hatch, it needs unique views or clicks:

Hee! Blue is my favorite color.

ETA: I should add that the egg will actually die if it doesn't get enough views/clicks. And I believe the hatchling is also at risk until it gets enough clicks to grow large enough to "survive on his/her own", but this is my first dragon egg, so I'm not 100% sure. :)

ETA2: Okay, so I got another one. Weeks of never getting any dragon eggs, and now two in one day. But this is it. I'm only having the two, not going to try for any others until these are safe. See, now the blue one won't be lonely, because he/she is being kept company by my second favorite color, purple! And this one I got at the Cave Entrance. It wasn't abandoned. :D

Clicky?

Clicked!

Beware: Dragons are ADDICTIVE!

I'm reading the forums, and it looks like people actually have like, breeding charts and everything.

I can see how they would be addictive. :)

I breed. If you see a standard kind of dragon you want and can't get one, we'll see if I can breed it for you and we can pull a switch.

Sadly, the specials, like the seasonal dragons, can't be bred, I don't think.

My daughter says they might still be putting out vampire dragon eggs at 1:00 in the afternoons, though, if you're interested.

Vampire dragons! Wow!

That's 1:00 GMT (site time) or our time (PST, since we're both West Coast)?

1:00 PM our time, I think, but I'm not positive about that.

Did you know the owner of the site is 17? He does all this coding himself. Isn't that spectacular?

Wow! I hope he's making some decent returns from donations. :)

I went and found your scroll, and clicked on all your hatchlings and eggs, just FYI. :-)

Where do you go for views/clicks, other than LJ?

Yay, thank you!

Although further reading of their FAQ has revealed that views/unique views/clicks are all necessary, and there is no one magic combination to make your egg hatch. Each egg seems to be different.

This is all very exciting for a simple computer code. :D
