Fannish things
~ I have to say, unfortunately there is more in Dragon Age 2 that I am disappointed in than happy with. I'm still glad I bought and played the game, but DA:O was all around better, despite the improvements in combat, graphics, and other game play features. I really feel they cut some corners to shove the game out the door a year after the first one, and I wish they'd taken the time to do it right. DA3 may not be on my "to buy" list if they don't do it right.

On the other hand, they appear to have taken the proper time for Mass Effect 3 (two years between games) and I am both nervous and terribly excited for it. WE SHALL SEE, BIOWARE!

CRIMINAL MINDS

~My team! At the movies! Watching a slasher flick! PenelopeandDerrick! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! (I'm with you, Penelope. I don't watch horror movies. In fact, CM is about as close as I get.)

~This, on top of the news that BOTH JJ AND Emily may be returning permanently...perhaps TPTB have regrown their collective smarts.

~Nice parallels to slasher flicks in tonight's ep, though. I don't watch them now, but my best friend's family exposed me to ALL of them when I was growing up (something my parents didn't know about). I know the stereotypes.

~Ah, how technology and social networking have invaded every aspect of our lives. Even our TV shows represent this now. I still maintain that FB is evil incarnate, but maybe that's just me.

~Not a bad episode. My favorite part was definitely the beginning, though. :) How much you want to bet Morgan and Penelope were there just so Ried could go w/Seaver and have it not really be a "date"?

"JJ and EMILY"

Fanish SQUUUUUEEEEEEEE

That would be so fucking awesome it hurts. So, so very cool.

And yes good episode. The one from the other CM last week was....painful and ugly, but better.

Yeah, apparently they're already in talks w/AJ Cook, but whether or not Emily will return completely depends on whether or not the pilot she's currently filming gets picked up. If it doesn't, we will get our Emily back. If it does, though...*sigh*

Shouldn't have let her go in the first place!! Although she did get a great story out of it.

I wonder if their sudden turnaround is due to lower ratings since the girls left, sudden budget increase, or fan outcry? I also wonder if maybe CM:SB is on the chopping block, and therefore they can afford to have their actors back on CM...? IDK.

Speaking of CM: The B Team, have you noticed how gender polarized that show is? Nine times of of ten, when assignments are being handed out, the girls are put together, and the guys are put together. "Beth and Gina" and "Prophet and Mick". I'm like, really?? Beth gets more screentime because she's with FW's character a lot, but these assignments are practically all we see of Gina! I'm getting a pretty good feel for the rest of the team, but poor Gina is still largely a mystery.

I did enjoy the revelation of Mick's past/sister in this ep. I wonder how they lost their parents? and how old Jenna is now? It sounded on the phone like she might be quite a bit younger than he is. Maybe 18? The way he took care of that baby says he has experience, so perhaps Jenna was a baby when their parents died, and Mick was older. I also liked that leader guy (whose name escapes me) and Gina obviously have enough history with Mick to know these things, even though "he doesn't really talk about it with anybody".

On the "B-team" I do totally agree with you. I wonder if we'll see more about Jenna, and more about everyone's pasts.

But I was talking about the previous episode with the serial killer son's father. Very close to a "Powder" episode. Gods sometimes I hate people. Anyhoo...
