Stupid, stupid, stupid! <-- This was my internal mantra this morning as I drove into work. Because the roads were covered in a thin but nonetheless dangerous-as-shit layer of black ice! I did not exactly realize this when I left my house this morning. I knew it was a little slick, but I thought it was frost on the road, not ice. When I slid three different times on the hills surrounding our house, I almost turned around and went home again. But that would have meant going back up those hills, vs. going on into town where the elevation is lower, and one presumes the roads are less icy - because that is generally the case.

Not so today!

I slid three more times on my way into work, and this was driving slowly and very carefully. And then even walking from my car to my office was perilous. Gah! Why didn't I just stay home, like a sane pseron would have? Now I am stuck here until the ice melts. Apparently the highest temp today will occur around 4pm, after which it will slide right back into freezing. I intend to be home and well supplied with groceries and other sundries by then.

It was supposed to be warmer this week, not colder. WTF happened?

Off topic - Women's Murder club restarts this week too. I may have to get info on what happens at the very end, since it looks like it's going to get clipped again by SGA. *sigh*

John, back to back. That's nice.

PS - Good no ice and easy shopping luck on the way home.
