Tales of landlording, # 558
I am tired and cranky today.

I had to get up an hour early so I could get to work extra early, so I could then go miss an hour of work by hanging around the courthouse to evict one of our tenants. Who had the temerity to actually show up so he could try to plead a sympathy case. ("Yes, Your Honor, I know I owe over $1500 in back rent, but I'm trying to move and I fell last month carting out one of those heavy boxes and cracked my ribs, and I have no one to help me move all this heavy stuff.") Yeah, buddy, you've been 'moving out' for a month and a half! And in that time, you've been feeding us a constant whine about how you're going to get us the money, you're going to be out "by tomorrow", you're going to, going to, going to...get evicted, dumbass.

The judge gave him the usual seventy-two hours, and then the tenant proceeded to try to keep me in the hallway listening to his tail of woe all over again. Maybe I am just a pissed off landlord, but seriously I don't care. You pay your rent, or you move out. It really is that simple.

Now I am staring at the open Word doc of Nemesis, still feeling crabby and cranky, and the words, they do not flow.

Stupid book.

Wow, I had no idea you landlorded. Sorry to hear this one was so much trouble!

Go write! I hate it when real life keeps me from doing the things I want to do because of mental garbage :/

Sending you good writer's vibes.
