er...Happy Friday?
Well, despite recent events, today isn't all bad!

~ I get to go and visit my cat on my lunch break, and thanks to the advice of a friend, I'm taking along one of my old t-shirts, so he'll have something that smells of home and momma during his antiseptic hospital stay.

~ The husband returns today, so tonight we'll get to go to a movie or something. Though, considering how much the cat is costing, perhaps staying in and watching something we already own is more the thing.

~ I watched both Terminater and T2 last night, because I wanted to after finishing the TV show, and also because I'm writing fic, and while one would think I have those movies memorized after the number of times I have seen them, it has actually been years since the last viewing, and thus I felt the need for a refresher. Wow, the fx of T1 really don't hold up, do they? It was tough not laughing when the evil endoskeleton was stalking after Reese and Sarah, actually. Although Michael Biehn is still hot, and this movie will always be a classic. We have the director's cut of T2, so I got to see the scenes with Reese that were cut from the theatrical version. *sniff* Also, Sarah has become a much better Mom in the intervening years between this movie and the series, and wow, John definitely has issues with emotionally bonding with the machines, doesn't he? Cameron is so going to be his first, now that we know the terminators are fully functioning in that regard...or at least some models are. He already think of her as a pretty girl when his Mom and Derek aren't there to see (ie, the stroking of her hair/face when she was 'out'.)

~ Someone has featured a pair of earrings from my shop in an Etsy treasury, yay! That's always exciting. :-)

~ I had intended to make jewelry last night, but T1 & T2 distracted me, and I didn't have the proper rings to try the dragonscale maille I desperately want to make for myself - because I'd have to charge something insane to sell this complicated weave to someone else. Not that I wouldn't, but I hear this one is an absolute b*tch to make, so it may not be worth the time and effort to sell. But I soooooooooooooooo want a bracelet made from it! Similar looking to 4 in 1, except it's got "captured" rings and is a much denser, much more complicated weave. Here's a pic for comparison.

~ Oh! My second sale from my Etsy supply shop this morning, this one from someone (I think) I don't actually know. That's exciting. :-)

~ I am still going to the bead show tomorrow, even though I don't actually have any money to spend. I'm going more to see my friend Paula, and I'll bring a little cash in case I find something I just can't live without. But mostly I'm hoping the bead show at the end of the month finds me in a better financial position (ie, hopefully the cat won't completely bankrupt us this month.)

I can honestly say, that my favorite part of viewing LJ entries- is seeing pictures of your jewelry. It's absolutely gorgeous. When I don't read anything- I flip through pages and just gaze at it. Thank you for that!

*gasps* Really? That is one of the best compliments I have ever been given! Wow, thank-you so much! Especially since sometimes I fear I'm spamming my friends list with jewelry posts, given my obsession with sparkly things. :-)

You're very welcome- and I mean it with all my heart. I go to your online store and just stare at your work. It's absolutely mesmerizing. :)

I have an obsession with sparkly things too. ;)
