Okay, book. I thought I only had about 30K, but it turns out I have closer to 40,000 already. Sonuva...

No, it's okay. My outline will still work. It just may be closer to 100K than 90 in finished form.

How do people write 70,000 word novels? Really. I mean, sure, I could remove a conflict here, or subplot there. But that would break up the wonderful little weave of elements I have going on to torment and traumatize my MC. And hey, I'm a terrible author to my MCs - the more trauma and angst in the conflict, the better! Wouldn't want anyone to think I'm going soft.

Haha. Meanwhile I'm wondering how do people write 100K word novels? ;)

Right now in the publishing world, that puts you in a much better position ~ the over 100K novel is not popular at the moment, not among first timers, at least. *sigh*

Hence why I'm so determined to make this one come in shorter than the last.
