Friends list is at skip=220.

It's taken me two hours to catch up, mostly skimming, and with interruptions of actual work taking place. Wow.

Hey, what's this Lost in Austen I keep seeing mentioned all over my f-list?? I'm guessing not available in the US, since I've never heard of it til now? But hello, Jane Austen y'all! Why has no one pointed me to this yet? I am going to have to try and find this, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Also, my weekend was so full, it's taking me two posts to talk about it all. In addition to going to the Pirate Festival on Saturday, I also went and saw So You Think You Can Dance, live, Sunday night. Awwwww, the kids were awesome in person, and I still ship Gev/Courtney, despite the fact that she apparently has a boyfriend and I feel it's kind of strange to ship real people instead of fictional characters.

Pretty much all of my favorite routines were danced, and my only complaint is the music was so loud, it actually hurt my ears at various points. Also, I forgot my opera glasses, darn it, and would have appreciated having them to see their faces more clearly.

Lost in Austen airs on ITV.com as well. My friend in New York watches it online via their website. I think it's also available on youtube.com too. I'm really enjoying it so far :)

All right, I've looked everywhere! ITV says full episodes can only be viewed if you live in the UK (which, WTF?? How does it know where I live, and why does it matter?) And surfthechannel only has episodes 2 and 3, and I cannot find episodes on youtube, only individual small scenes. *wails*

All the sites in the states that I try and watch won't let me watch stuff because I live in the UK and not the US but Kori (who lives in New York) has been watching the whole thing on their website. I've just asked her again and she's not sure how she manages it. I have another friend in Rome who also watches, she's not around tonight but I can ask her where she gets it from if you like?

Aha! I just checked a tv community I belong to in the hope someone would have uploaded eps, and lo and behold, they have! Looks like I'll be d/ling when I get home tonight. Thanks much! I wonder if somehow my computer tells ITV it's in the US, but your friend in NY is somehow not detected as such?

I think that's utterly ridiculous, keeping people geographically from watching shows. Streaming video online is supposed to create expanded interest and viewership, after all . :D

Oh good :)

Maybe it can detect your IP addy or something, I'm really not sure. I agree everybody should be able to watch everything :)

Lost in Austen = best sort of crack ever. Modern day girl gets trapped in Pride and Prejudice and tries to make things go according to Austen's plot. Only, there are lots of surprises ahead. It is a fabulous four-part miniseries. I can't wait to see the final part!
