I hate synopsis writing almost as much as I hate query writing. MAYBE MORE.

Ye gods, this sucks.

Anyone willing to take a quick look at this and give me quick feedback on it? Hopefully someone with some experience, however small, in synopsis reading/writing? I am in the position of needing to get this out soonest possible, but I'd prefer someone other than me to read it and tell me if it is at least readable!

ETA: *bangs head on keyboard*

You know, just because.

I don't have any experience but I don't mind taking a look. Just tell me what I'm supposed to be looking for.:)

I will take you up on that! The purpose of a synopsis:

Clearly and thoroughly summarize the events and characters of the novel, including the ending. But though concise, the whole point is to make someone want to read the story being described. It must have a...hmm, a good voice? But without any colorful tricks or excessive description.

They are a pain to write.

So, I guess what you're looking for is: does it make you want to read the book? Does it clearly outline the events of the novel, including the ending?

Um, I'm not sure if I have your e-mail?
