I had to fish my assignment out of the spam folder, and then I read it and laughed....kind of a lot. I can't tell you why, but it has nothing to do with my lovely assignee's requests, which I'm actually super excited about. It's just...there is irony, and the universe has a fantastic sense of humor. :D

In any case, here is my

First off, this is my first year participating, I'm pretty sure. I'M SO EXCITED, you are awesome, and whatever you write, THANK YOU ELEVENTY-THOUSAND TIMES! This is sure to be among my favorite things this Christmas. :-D

As for my requests, well, you may have noticed, but I'm pretty open to whatever you come up with. I admit, I'm not a slash reader. But hey, LOTR is my favorite trilogy of all time - undertones clearly don't bother me. Gen or het of any flavor is totally awesome, though I am not a fan of rape fic in pretty much any sense, though rough sex is fine if you go the het route. So is fluff. Or any sort of character-centric gen. Like I said, pretty open for whatever you feel like.

Some specifics, in no particular order:

Mr. and Mrs. Smith

You may have noticed in my requests, (or if you know me, you're already aware) I have this...thing...for spies. I loved this movie like whoa, and then there was hardly any fic produced. I adored John and Jane Smith, and I have hoped in vain for a sequel. I would love a glimpse into what they've been up to, either personally or professionally (or both) since the end of the movie. Are they freelancing? Any more trouble with either of their former employers? How are things personally now that they aren't keeping any big secrets from each other? Did they ever renew their vows, or just move forward? Any, all of the above, or whatever else you can think of.

Kelley Armstrong - Women of the Otherworld

And here, I admit, is where my request somehow screwed up. I never selected "Cassandra" as a character, but yuletide thought I did! I don't have anything against Cassandra, but I don't want you to think you're pigeon holed into one character, dear yuletide author. Because you totally aren't! I love this universe, and we often don't get as many glimpses of characters we've seen, and largely moved on from, as I'd like. I'd love to see Clay and Elena having family time, or a look at how Jamie Vegas is fitting in with the pack, or see Savannah at school, or having coffee with her brother, who we know she talks to, but have never gotten to see together. Again, it's wide open. :-)

My Own Worst Enemy

Remember how I love spies? I do, and though this show's premise is totally unbelievable, I am fascinated by it. I love the juxtaposition of Henry/Edward. This show is new enough that I don't really have a specific request. A character moment, perhaps, a look into what one of the characters is thinking, be it Henry, his wife, Edward, Tom, Raymond, the therapist...you get the idea.

I don't remember why I didn't put down a fourth request. I hope you find something you want to write in the three I did ask for.

I hope you find this helpful, and again, thank you so much for writing my yuletide fic. :-D SO EXCITED!

I have to tell you, the mighty Yule Goat knows IRONY for me too, this year! I laughed when I saw my assignment too... (and no, I am not your author!)

Hee! It will be fun when assignments are all revealed in the end, to see where the irony lies. :D
