Photoshop Q
Okay. I'm making a new header for my LJ, and I NEED something to make that heavy fog look, like the fog machine makes on the show. A brush, or something. Help a girl out, LJ!

Well, for some reason, Photoshop doesn't have a spray paint tool, which is what I was going to suggest. MS Paint has one, so why not Photoshop?! At any rate, I'd just suggest getting your banner to look how you want minus the fog, and then drawing it on by hand. Create a new layer, and using the regular old Brush Tool, find a brush that is not solid (some of them have kind of a blurry outline, does that make sense?) and set the opacity to ~50%. I have the default brushes loaded and some of them in the second and third row would probably work.

Make sure you paint with white, or maybe a light gray. I tried it out on a picture I have on my desktop, using a brush that's 300px and it looks pretty good.

You can play around with the opacity and the color you use until you get it to look how you want. Good luck!

Do you have it the way you want it?

Sadly, I gave up. I can't find promo pics with the look I want. I'm sure I'll come back to it soon, and I still want the foggy look. :)

Once you get one the way you like it, feel free to send it over and I can try to add some fog for you.

Is this Icon you are using from The Vampire Diaries? I just watched them right now and know what you mean about the fog if that is a yes.
