Best game dialogue EVER!
So, remember how I talked about my NPCs having random conversations when they're put in a party together? It is seriously one of THE best aspects of Dragon Age. Not only is it unexpected, and beyond the player's control, but it's in character, it's their personalities and how they interact, and often, it's damn funny.

Not to mention, the voice actors do a really good job. Whenever my characters start to speak to one another, I stop the party so I can listen to the conversation (if you go through a door or something, it can interrupt these moments of sheer brilliance.)

Alistair (british accent, raised to be a chaste knight, basically) - All this darkspawn business is making me feel stressed.
Ogrehn (rough around the edges dwarf) - Know what I do to relieve stress?
Alistair - Er, no?
Ogrehn - I polish my weapon
Alistair - Ewwww, I really didn't need to know that.
Ogrehn - Yep, nothing like giving your weapon a good polish under the stars.
Alistair - What, you mean like out in the open, where everyone can see you?
Ogrehn - Yup.
Alistair - Thats disgusting!
Ogrehn - Don't tell me you've never given your weapon a good polish with some grease and a cloth.
Alistair - Wait, what are you talking about?
Ogrehn - What are you talking about?

On recruiting Leilana:

Alistair - Her plea seems whole-hearted. And even though she seems a little... strange, she does have skill. I vote to let her come along.
You - Alistair, she's one archdemon short of the Blight!
Alistair - Yes but she seems more 'Ooh pretty colors!' than 'Muahaha, I am Princess Stabbity! Stab, kill, kill!'

You, as the PC, talking to Alistair about the nightmare all Gray Wardens have:

You - (insisting you're not afraid of the nightmare)
Alistair - I screamed like a little girl. Duncan thought I had somebody in my room. Not embarassing at all.

In the Dragon Age world, elves are a poor race, most of them working as servants, or living in what they call "alienages" in the larger human cities. There are many beggars and orphans. This is a conversation with a beggar and an orphan named Ollie:

Elf - We're all terribly poor and needy.
PC (you) - What about that one over there in the noble's clothing?
Noble - Oh, sorry, I just heard there was free money here. I'll, um, just go.
Elf - We're all - except the one you so rightly pointed out - terribly poor and needy!
Ollie - And my parents are still dead.
Elf - And Ollie's parents are still dead.
