Ten things I am grateful for this holiday season...
It seems like there is so much so many people are suffering this year, I thought I'd do a post about the things I'm happy about or grateful for:

1. Everyone in my family has managed to remain employed this year. Yay!

2. Those in my immediate circle of friends who have lost jobs have found new ones. :D

3. One of my best friends, for whom every single day is a fight to get her bipolar son the help and education he needs, also works as our on site property manager in the duplexes my father-in-law owns. This woman never catches a break. She's always getting slammed from one side or another, to the point where I don't think I could survive it and stay sane. But she manages, somehow. The place next to hers opened up this month - while this is sad news for the person who had to move, it's finally some good news for my friend. Her Mom is going to move in next door, making it much easier for her to help out when she can. :)

4. I am almost done with the revision/rewrite for Nemesis. I thought it would never end! (Okay, so I still feel like that, a little. But I'm close!)

5. Christmas is almost here! It's my favorite holiday. I'll get to spend time w/my family, and the weather this year looks clear for us, so no worries on traveling.

6. I am only working half a day today, and I'm not coming in tomorrow. Four and a half days off! Whoo-hoo!

7. My coffee. Mmmm. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy when I'm sipping a silky smooth latte in the morning, made by my lovely, lovely Rocky grinder and Le'lit espresso machine. Note: turns out, organic milk froths about fifteen times better than regular. I had to double check the box and make sure I hadn't bought whole milk by mistake! But nope, it was 2%.

8. My friends. I don't know where my life would be right now without the lovely friends I have. Certainly, not anywhere near where it is. I am very, very fortunate. *loves friends, both online and off*

9. LJ. I've been journaling for more than seven years, six of them on livejournal. I seriously don't know how I survived some things before you guys. {{hugs f-list}}

10. And YAY!! Rhien!Sis just called, and they ARE coming down tonight and staying for a couple of days. *does the dance of joy*

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it, and Happy Holidays! :D
