I haven't cried so much or so hard for a TV show since S3 of Farscape.  I was upset and sad and on the edge of the my seat saying "Noooooooo...!" when Marcus used the alien healing device to save Susan.

But in the next episode, when Susan was totally inconsolable with grief and sobbing because he loved her and she loved him, and she never acted on it because she was afraid, and it's too late now because he just sacrificed himself to save her.

Now my eyes hurt because I cried so much watching that.  Damn it.  Poor Ivanova.  Poor Marcus.  *sniffles*

And then, they follow that up with a lightly humorous scene between Londo and G'Kar,. continuing to develop this tenuous frenemies relationship they've started...nice emotional recovery, is all I'm sayin'.

So, fandom.  There must be fic out there somewhere, right?  I'm not terribly picky.  I love all the characters so much.  Funny Vir and/or Lennier fic.  Smutty, poignant, or just plain lovely Marcus/Susan.  Londo and G'Kar drinking fic.  You know, whatever.  Hook a girl up!

ETA: OMG, and now Lennier just tried to tell Delenn he loves her ("Did they tell you what Ivanova said at the end?  That all love is unrequited love.") in not so many words, and I can't figure out if she totally didn't get it, or if cupping his cheek and saying "She's wrong, of course," was her way of telling him she loves him, too, (just not like she loves Sheridan).

Is it Susan/Talia?

It was funny. The friend who lent me the series asked me after...everything that happened with Talia, if I'd picked up on the fact that she and Ivanova were lovers. I was all "Well, yeah! Even though they never really hinted at it previously, it was kind of obvious when Talia went to check if Susan was in bed next to her." And it made a kind of sense they'd kept it off screen, as Susan would never advertise her relationships anyway.

Apparently not everyone notices, though. Or later, when Susan tells Delenn her secret, "I think I was in love with Talia." (How are these things so subtle, people miss them?)

Poor Susan. :(

Hee! Naw, I wrote completely a-canonical Susan/Catherine Sakai.

If you want good Susan/Talia, there was an amazing one in a femslash 'thon a while back...
