Frozen yogurt is not what it used to be.
Hmm, I feel like I must live in a cave.  Last week, I ordered some fresh whole milk yogurt from the dairy along with my milk & eggs, with the intention of breaking out my embarrassingly cobwebbed ice cream maker.  I worked at a frozen yogurt place as a barista for several years, and once they went out a few years back, no more frozen yogurt.  I've been trying to eat not just healthier, but more organic/naturally of late, so...I found a recipe people raved about and decided to try making my own vanilla frozen yogurt.

Except, after I added the sugar and vanilla and mixed it with the yogurt, I did a little taste test.  Whoa!  Tart.  Not my remembrance of frozen yogurt.  So, a little investigating later, and come to find out tart frozen yogurt has apparently taken over the froyo business, and is rapidly spreading all over the country.  Some place I've never heard of called 'pinkperry' started things in California.  People wait for like an hour at this place.

Well, I've already mixed the recipe.  I don't know what I could do to sweeten it up, other than add more sugar, which I don't really want to do...I guess I'll try it and see what I think.  Maybe I'll be the first tart frozen yogurt convert in my area.

It's Pinkberry, actually. And you don't really have to wait for an hour. Generally you wait for about five minutes.

And it's delicious. :)

I'm kind of envious at not knowing what a Pinkberry is, since I can throw a rock in pretty much any direction and hit one!

We also have these stores that sell coffee called Starbucks. :P

I despise tart frozen yogurt. This news of its spread bodes ill for me. :(
